Our monthly silent (vipassana) retreat offers a rare and nourishing opportunity to rest deeply in stillness within a serene natural setting. In the quiet, free from the rush of daily responsibilities, you are invited to slow down, breathe, and gently turn your attention inward. This dedicated time creates space to observe your mind with clarity, soften habitual patterns, and reconnect with the calm that is always available beneath the noise of everyday life.
Silent retreats give you the precious gift of meeting the most important person in the world, you. As you settle into guided meditation sessions, mindful walking, and spacious periods of personal reflection, you may uncover insights, emotional ease, and an inner steadiness that often remains hidden amid constant activity. Vipassana means to see things clearly and as they truly are. Without proper training it’s very difficult to see past the disillusions presented to us in everyday life. Our disillusionment is the result of social constructs and bias as well as our own prejudice and bias towards ourselves and others.
As such, we live in a dissatisfied state of existence continually looking for peace, harmony, and balance.
Originating in India, Vipassana was rediscovered by Buddha over 2,500 years ago and has been continually taught since and is a remedy for eradication of mental impurities resulting in lasting happiness and liberation.
